Diana P's January Ornament - Just Under the Wire!!

Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I wanted to stitch this ornament since I first saw it in the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Preview (August 2008) designed by Nikki Leeman of Country Cottage Needleworks . I stitched it on 28ct. Natural Linen using DMC and the beautiful Crescent Color Deep Fennel. I'm excited to be part of this Challenge
Can anyone give me any hints on taking photos of needlework - I seem to be struggling and everyone's pics seem to come out so beautiful. If any anyone has any hints, please let me know on my blog and thanks in advance.

I got some hints about photographing from a stitcher (can't remember who) that helped me a lot.

If you have a manual setting on your digital camera, use that. Set your ISO to the highest setting (I use 400, which is as high as I can go). Adjust the lighting if you can and also the speed if necessary. Use the close up mode (the little flower) if that is an option with your camera.
That will enable you to get closeups that are in focus. I am just learning myself, but this has helped me take better pictures.

    Love the ornament!

Ditto what Barb said--macro setting is your friend! This is such a pretty ornament. You did a great finish!
